Verse of the Week:
“And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.”
— Luke 24:31 (KJV)
Personal Reflection:
The risen Jesus walked right beside them—and they didn’t even know it.
It wasn’t until He broke bread that their eyes were opened.
This week, that story hit a little closer to home for me.
I kept thinking about how Jesus chose the most unexpected people to build His Church.
The disciples weren’t bold when it mattered most.
They were hiding. Afraid.
Some had doubted. Some had denied.
And yet — Jesus still chose them. Walked with them. Broke bread with them. Called them friends.
I’ve had moments like that too — where fear or failure whispered, “Not you.”
Many, many, of those moments where I didn’t feel worthy of being used by God. “Imposter Syndrome” if you will.
But this story reminds me:
He meets us on the road.
In the ordinary. In the confusing. In the middle of our everyday lives.
That’s what I want to give you here every week.
I’m not a theological expert.
I’m not a pastor’s wife.
I’m a seeker of God’s wisdom, just like you — and I’ve decided to journey deeper in faith with you.
This week, let’s make this our prayer together:
This week, let that be your prayer:
“Lord, open my eyes to where You’re already walking with me.”
Because resurrection isn’t a one-day event — it’s a daily unfolding.
